Last month, Brooklyn lost one of its pioneering restaurateurs: Colin Devlin, the proprietor of DuMont, DuMont Burger, and Dressler. Fans of Devlin and his restaurants expressed their gratitude in many ways immediately following his death. And now, a member of his restaurant group writes in with a statement from the team:
Devlin Metro Group, DuMont, and DuMont Burger would like to express our gratitude for the outpouring of support and love that the community has offered in the wake of Colin Devlin's passing. Thank you so much for your continued encouragement and patronage. We look forward to serving you in the future. The Devlin Metro group's Kendra Norman tells Eater that the team has no plans to shutter DuMont or DuMont Burger. Both restaurants appear to be as popular as ever.
