tasteofpersia.jpgIn this week's Hungry City column, Ligaya Misha glowingly reviews Taste of Persia NYC, a takeout counter that got its start at the Union Square Holiday Market and has now taken up permanent residence inside a pizza parlor. Among her favorites is "the justly fabled ash reshteh, a result of the eight-hour communion of five kinds of beans, a riot of herbs and onion cooked down to a sweet density. Dark and luxuriant, it has no broth and only a trace of oil." [NYT]
