Josh Ozersky offers his take on the fried chicken scene in NYC: "There is hardly any good fried chicken in New York, or, if the truth be told, most cities, including those in the deep south. Fried chicken isn't really a restaurant food. It requires a person to cook it in a greasy, oversized cast-iron pan for 20 minutes or more, and hardly any restaurant works that way." But if you must eat fried chicken, he recommends Charles Pan-Fried Chicken in Harlem. [Esquire]
