Tribeca Canvas to Close and Reopen as 'Canvas'

Celebrity chef Masaharu Morimoto is closing his Church Street global comfort food restaurant Tribeca Canvas after less then a year in business. Flo Fab reports that he will reopen the space as a new restaurant next month called, simply, Canvas. Morimoto is partnering with Macao Trading Co.'s Patrick Fahey and Emmanuelle LaSalle Hill and Tommy Hill of Los Americanos on the revamp. Canvas will have a brand new menu and a different design. The critics had a field day with Tribeca Canvas. Here are some of the worst lines from the reviews, with cats:
