WEST VILLAGE —Starting tonight and running through Thursday, Jeffrey's Grocery is offering a "lobster bash" for dinner. They've added a whole list of lobster specials to the menu for these three nights, ranging from lobster ceviche to surf and turf to a classic lobster boil for two. [EaterWire]
WILLIAMSBURG — Nitehawk Cinema is partnering with The Brooklyn Star to host a series of outdoor movies screenings paired with live bands. The screenings will take place at the old Domino Sugar factory in Havemeyer Park, and are free except for a $5 suggested donation. Nitehawk will sell popcorn, while The Brooklyn Star will offer their "chicken and waffle cones" plus some other rotating dishes. There will also be ice cream from Oddfellows and beer from Brooklyn Brewery. The first screening is The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas on August 20. RSVP online. [EaterWire]
EAST VILLAGE — Now that it's finally really open, the full menu for Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken is finally really up. Take a look at the whole thing, from thighs and drumsticks to chicken burgers and sides, after the jump. [EaterWire]
CRONUT MANIA — In the saddest chapter of Cronut mania to date, Gothamist caught two girls sifting through Dominique Ansel's garbage for old Cronuts. They managed to dig up a burnt, unfilled one before being chased away. [Gothamist]
YELPWIRE — Yelp announced today that, for the first time ever, it will allow users to write and post reviews directly from their mobile devices. They had long held out on making this move, for fear of too many reviews written in garbled SMS shorthand. Now that they've taken the plunge, Eater National points out that another "potential side effect might be immediate low reviews for restaurants with long waits, crowded bars, or a full house." [~EN~]
