Achilles Heel Barbecue; Shalom Japan Opening Soon

WILLIAMSBURG — Shalom Japan, the Jewish and Japanese food mash-up from Aaron Israel of Mile End and Sawako Okochi, formerly of Annisa, is set to open at the end of the month. PARK SLOPE — L'Albero dei Gelati, a gelateria and cafe mini-chain that is something of a cult favorite in Italy will open its first American outpost Brooklyn on July 18.
