Corvo Bianco is the new Italian restaurant in the old Calle Ocho space from restaurateur Luis Gonzalez and chef Elizabeth Falkner. Although Falkner is still finalizing the menu, expect traditional Italian antipasti, pastas made with market vegetables, and entrees like rabbit cacciatore, grilled quail, and a whole roasted branzino. Mains will be priced in the low to mid 20s, and pastas will be about $17 each. Falkner earned two stars at Krescendo in Boerum Hill last year, but she dropped out of the project after seven months. All of the press materials note that she's working as the executive chef at Corvo Bianco, so hopefully she's in it for the long run this time. The restaurant is slated to open next Monday, July 15.
