Theater District steakhouse Gallagher's is closing this week for renovations. The restaurant was going to shutter for good last January, but then Dean Poll swooped in and signed a 20-year lease on the building. Flo Fab reports that Poll hired Niemitz Design Group of Boston to restore the storied space. When he signed on to run Gallagher's last winter, Poll explained that he wanted to keep the decor much as it was and tweak the menu a bit. The 86-year-old restaurant is expected to reopen in October.
