Sarah Simmons, the founder of City Grit, is looking to move her culinary salon to a bigger, better location, but still needs the money to do it. Currently City Grit's themed tasting dinners, which often feature guest chefs from across the county, take place in a shared space inside a 200-year-old former schoolhouse with no air conditioning and bad acoustics. Now they've found a place with more of the "amenities of a state-of-the-art restaurant," and have just started a Kickstarter campaign to raise the $100,000 needed to put down a deposit on the new space. The campaign ends on August 30, so head on over before then to make a donation.
