The Eater Test Kitchen team rolled onto the Merkley+Partners rooftop yesterday to celebrate a glorious evening with appropriately glorious fare. To do that, we called on the one and only Josh Capon and his crew from El Toro Blanco. They served up some escuela vieja tacos, chilled shrimp ceviche, elote de calle, braised short rib empanandas and guacamole for days. Chile-rubbed mango margaritas washed it all down to make for a perfect summer evening in New York. A huge thanks goes out to the El Toro Blanco team who, after a friendly debate about raffle contest rules, awarded three lucky winners some sweet prizes.
