Tidal Wave of Umami to Hit Greenwich Village Today

Here's a look around New York's first location of West Coast hamburger sensation Umami Burger. Adam Fleischman's LA-based chain specializes in burgers that are topped with umami-rich ingredients like sautéed mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, and Parmesan crisps. And if you don't like umami, the restaurant also offers things like bacon and cheddar burgers, chili cheeseburgers, veggie burgers, and "Cali" burgers. Burgers are priced from $10 to $15, and the menu also includes fries, tots, and cocktails. Umami Burger is slated to open tonight.
