LOWER EAST SIDE — Legendary Ludlow Street dive Max Fish is closing after service tonight. Previous reports said that it would take its final bow on August 1. Owner Ulli Rimkus tells the Wall Street Journal: "I wish it could be around forever...I wish I could pass it on to a daughter, have it around for 80 years. But if you don't own the building, what can you do?" Ms. Rimkus plans to open another version of the bar in Williamsburg. [WSJ]
