This is The Plywood Report. Notice any restaurant plywood while you're out and about? Send it our way.

1) Union Square: Above, take a look at All'Onda, the hotly-anticipated Italian restaurant from Chris Jaeckle, with Chris Cannon in as consultant. This was originally slated to open in May, but with work still ongoing it's clearly a good deal away from being ready to go. [PLYWOOD]

2) West Village: Japanese-bakery Matsunosuke has declared itself at 58 West Eighth Street in the West Village. This is a mini-chain in Japan (with three locations), that specializes in New England- and New York-style baked goods. The construction signage promises Japanese chiffon pancakes and pastries. [PLYWOOD]

3) Tribeca: China Blue is the upscale restaurant doing Shanghai cuisine from the owners of Café China in Midtown, coming to the Capsouto Freres space. China Daily reports on the restaurant, which is shooting for a November opening. Work has yet to begin on the space. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
4) East Village: Philly import Han Dynasty is due to open this summer?the initial target was July?and the space appears to be coming together. Signage is up outside (though the "y" is in rough shape), the exterior's ready to go, and the interior has furniture and lighting. Check it out above. [PLYWOOD]

5) West Village: Just a few steps down from Matsunosuke, a dairy shop called 5 Oz. Factory continues the Wisco invasion of NYC. Signage (and the website) indicate it will specialize in custards and cheese melts. [PLYWOOD]

6) Kips Bay: The former East Bay Diner is en route to becoming a thing called Cafe Deli-Cious, pcvstBee reports. East Bay Diner closed a little over a year ago, and this new operation will reportedly be a "deli-grocery." [PLYWOOD]

7) Harlem: A new bar/barbecue joint called Suzy Q's Bar-B-Q is in the works on Seventh Avenue at 112th Street, writes Harlem Bespoke. According to the liquor license approval documents it will be 1,500-square-feet with 57 seats, including 12 at the bar. [PLYWOOD]

8) Lower East Side: Bedford + Bowery reports on a little place called Dimes Cafe, opening near the border of the LES and Chinatown. It's an organic café and juice bar modeled on a lot of places in LA, from a pair of New York industry vets. It should open next month. [PLYWOOD]
