Legendary gay club Splash has announced that it will close its doors forever next month. The club has been around for over 20 years, and will celebrate its run with 10 farewell celebrations starting on August 1. This follows the recent eviction of the Rawhide from its longtime home nearby. It was recently announced that that space would become a Project Pie, a make-it-yourself assembly line pizza concept that we are guessing probably won't be around for nearly as long as its predecessor. Let's hope for a better ending for the Splash space. [NYP]
