COBBLE HILL — The original Bien Cuit on Smith Street will soon get a backyard patio, the Carroll Gardens Patch reports. The backyard spot is still under construction, but should be open within a few weeks. [Patch]
FEUDS — Not for the first time, Esquire's John Mariani has written a piece bashing molecular gastronomy. "Especially in the U.S.," he says, "the movement has barely budged beyond its first breakthrough in 2003 at Wylie Dufresne's wd~50" and the influence of chefs like Ferran Adrià is "next to zero" on the culinary world.
