Hamptons Mondays at '21' Club; Summer Pig Roasts

MIDTOWN — Bar "21" at the "21" Club is launching a wine tasting series called "Hamptons Mondays" next week. Each Monday evening for the next three weeks they'll pair a local New York wine with bar snacks like mini burgers, lobster tacos, and duck confit. The tastings go from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and each one is $45 per person. [EaterWire]

LONG ISLAND CITY — LIC Market is celebrating their third anniversary with a pig roast and clambake on Saturday until 11 p.m. and Sunday until 6 p.m. It's $25 per person to join in the festivities, which also include half-priced mimosas, beer buckets, and "other surprises." [EaterWire]

BUSHWICK — And speaking of pig roasts, 3rd Ward has its sixth annual roast this Saturday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. This year the pig and sides will be made by Vinny Campos, the chef at their soon-to-open in-house restaurant Fitzcarraldo. There will also be live music, art workshops, and double dutch aerobics. [EaterWire]

THE CHAINS — Taco Bell has just announced that it will drop kids meals from its menu entirely. As Eater National reports, CEO Greg Creed says the move has to do with "positioning the brand for Millenials," and that it is "inconsistent for an edgy, twentysomething brand to offer kids meals."
