Pasta Favorite Pepe Verde Shutters in the West Village

New, 5 comments

15-year-old West Village Italian restaurant Pepe Verde is now closed. The tiny restaurant served large portions of pasta for dirt cheap, plus panini, salads, and traditional Italian entrees. The food was always much better than it needed to be given the price and location. A sign on the door now reads "Closed, out of business." Sister establishment Pepe Rosso is still going strong on Sullivan Street.

The landlord has listed the space along with the Caliu storefront next door. Check out the full listing here.
