Welcome to Club Sandwich Power Hour, the Greasy Spoons Week special where, for the next 60 minutes, Eater will celebrate everything about the greasy spoon staple. What makes a club sandwich a club sandwich? The above, from recent hangout Westway Diner, is a great example: one or more meats, plus bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo, between three slices of toasted bread, cut into four triangles and held together with toothpicks (frills optional).
