Over on Roads & Kingdoms, Howard Chua-Eoan describes the anxiety of selecting nine meals for Ferran Adria in New York City. Dropping Adria's name did not help him score a table at Nobu, so Adria suggested he actually call chef Nobu Matsuhisa to ask for a table. Chua-Eoan writes: "One of Ferran's assistants had the number. I called and, after some 10 minutes of scrambling, all turned out well." [R & K via Eater National]
