Later this year, chef/restaurateur Andy Ricker will move his wildly popular Thai restaurant Pok Pok Ny a few doors down the block into the old Chio space as 117 Columbia Street. Once the move is complete, Pok Pok Ny will sit directly across the street from Ricker's forthcoming bar project, the Whiskey Soda Lounge Ny. So, soon you'll be able to have a drink inside a Pok Pok restaurant while looking at another Pok Pok restaurant through the window.
Ricker tells Flo Fab: "This will give us close to 70 seats indoors, a larger kitchen and bar." He also says that the menu will "expand to more closely match all the dishes we have available in Portland," and he hopes to eventually offer lunch. The old space will be used for catering and private events. The move is expected to take place this fall.
