Robert Moorman OUT at Krescendo in Boerum Hill

New, 40 comments

For the second time in its still relatively short existence, Krescendo is losing its chef. Robert Moorman, who replaced Elizabeth Falkner as executive chef back at the beginning of June, sends word that he has decided to leave the restaurant due to differences with the owners. An alum of North End Grill and Riverpark among other restaurants, Moorman had introduced some new Southern Italian dishes to Falkner's menu of pastas and Neapolitan pizzas, which earned Krescendo a solid two stars from Pete Wells.

Now he cites "differences in the menu and the concept of the restaurant" as the reason for his departure, and tells Eater he hopes to "venture out on my own with my own project" soon. His last day was Sunday, so Krescendo is now, once again, on the hunt for a new chef.
