Later this year, Jones Wood Foundry restaurateurs Jason Hicks and Yves Jadot will open a trio of new venues in the Williams hotel in Murray Hill. Flo Fab reports that Jadot and Hicks have tapped English-born chef Robert Aikens to run the kitchens at these three restaurants. He most recently worked as the executive chef at Stephen Starr's Philadelphia gastropub The Dandelion.
The Williams hotel will have a sit-down restaurant called The Peacock, as well as a lounge area dubbed The Library, and a pub they've named The Shakespeare. Aikens will serve traditional British fare at these venues. The chef tells the Times that he has made "a full commitment" to the owners for one year. After that, he plans to "look for the best possible opening" and "explore all scenarios." The restaurants in the Williams are slated to open in September.
