New, 2 comments

1) Upper West Side: Just before the Fourth of July holiday, the West Side Rag reported that longtime brick oven pizza shop Dean's Pizzeria has closed its doors. It's owned by the same folks as the Patsy's chain. [WSR]

2) East Village: EV Grieve brings word that mac and cheese shop S'Mac has shuttered its year-and-a-half-old kiosk at the corner of Houston and First Avenue. The restaurant still has brick and mortar locations in Murray Hill and on East 12th Street in the East Village. [EV Grieve]

3) Prospect Heights: In a round-up of news from along Flatbush Avenue, Brownstoner reports that coffee shop and juice bar Cream Puff Café, on Sixth Avenue between Bergen and Dean, has closed its doors. [Brownstoner]

4) Midtown East: East 45th Street Chinese restaurant Oriental Noodle House has likely served its last bun. No word on the cause, but Midtown Lunch notices that it's shuttered and that the storefront is now up for rent. [Midtown Lunch]

5) East Village: The four-year-old Australian restaurant Tuck Shop closed its St Mark's Place location on Sunday night, for reasons including "real estate taxes," "gentrification," and "the booze." It still has locations on East First and in Chelsea Market. [EV Grieve]
