Popular Parisian Wine Bar Racines Expands to Tribeca

New, 1 comment

The owners of acclaimed Parisian wine bar Racines are planning their first U.S. outpost in Tribeca. The team appeared before the CB1 earlier this week and explained that the restaurant will have 35 seats plus a 10-seat bar, and a short menu of French fare offered for lunch and dinner. David Lillie, the proprietor of Chamber Street Wines, is one of the restaurateurs behind this project. Although the Racines owners have not signed the lease yet, they hope to open in November in the Chambers Street space that is currently home to Sunny One Cafe.

Racines has two locations in Paris, and, for what it's worth, the wine bar landed on Food & Wine's list of best wine bars in Paris back in 2008. David Leibowitz also wrote favorably about the restaurant on his blog that year.
