Trading Post, a New Three-Floor Restaurant in the Seaport

[Daniel Krieger]

Take a look around Trading Post, the huge American restaurant that just opened in the South Street Seaport. It's on John Street in the space that used to house Yankee Clipper and its OTB scene, with a hearty menu by Smith & Wollensky alum Stephen Woods. Owned by four Seaport locals, the space is huge (10,000-square-feet, all told) and with plenty of dark wood, earth tones, and a light and airy third-floor dining room, it feels very ... seafaring, in a good way. It's currently open for lunch, dinner, and as of this past weekend, brunch. The menus are over here, and do send any early reports our way.
