Franny's Launches Lunch; Krescendo Gets 'Spirit Hour'

PARK SLOPE ? As of this week, the newly-relocated Franny's has started serving lunch every day. The menu is the same as the full dinner menu and is served from noon to 3 p.m., with the restaurant reopening at 5:30 for dinner. [EaterWire]

With San Francisco barman Darren Crawford (of Bourbon & Branch) running the cocktail program, Krescendo is launching daily Spirit Hours from 5:30 to 7 p.m. This is a serious deal: for $25 a person, the Spirit Hour includes tasting portions of three different examples of the day's featured liquor, plus a cocktail and a Margherita pizza. WASHINGTON D.C. ? José Andrés has launched an "up to" six person private dining room for the 10th anniversary of his tasting menu-only restaurant Minibar.
