Ryan Sutton notices that acclaimed sushi parlor Sushi Yasuda no longer accepts tips. The food prices are slightly higher, and the bill now states: "Following the custom in Japan, Sushi Yasuda's service staff are fully compensated by their salary. Therefore gratuities are not accepted. Thank you." The bill does not include a line to write in a gratuity. Owner Scott Rosenberg explains: "We just take tipping out of the equation."
