The owners of Grand Central Oyster Bar will close parts of the restaurant throughout the summer to clean and renovate the century-old Guastavino-tile vaulted ceiling, and the entire space will also close for a short period of time in early 2014. In a statement, the restaurant's vice president Mohammed Lawal notes: "While the partial closings may limit customer's access this summer, we will return this fall with a refreshed look, an intact structure, and the wonderful food that has made us a key part of the Terminal for a century."
