Carlo Mirarchi's critically acclaimed Bushwick chef's counter Blanca is now accepting reservations online via SeatMe. Ryan Sutton reports the news on his blog The Bad Deal, and notes: "This is most definitely a STRONG BUY and a GOOD DEAL, as the telephone reservations system was my only real criticism of the restaurant in my four star review for Bloomberg News."
Reservations are available 30 days in advance starting at 11 a.m. each day, and Blanca is still only open for six seatings a week. The old system involved calling the restaurant on the first of the month to try and score one of the coveted slots. As you may recall, Blanca reservations were briefly available on SeatMe last month, but the page quickly got pulled once the news hit the blogs. Mirarchi tells Sutton: "Hopefully this won't be as much of a nightmare as the phones."
