Franklin Becker to Open The Little Beet This Summer

A few months ago, former EMM Group chef Franklin Becker hinted at plans to open a quick service restaurant somewhere in New York. Now Becker reveals that the restaurant will be called The Little Beet, and it's slated to open later this summer at 135 West 50th Street. The restaurant will serve dishes made with seasonal ingredients, including soups, salads, sandwiches, and juices. It sounds a bit like Dig Inn Seasonal Market, but with Franklin Becker. Will it serve little beets? That would make sense, but the chef has not confirmed this yet.

Later this summer, The Becks will also appear on Season 5 of Top Chef Masters along with David Burke, Odette Fada, and Richard Sandoval. Before his split with EMM last June, the chef oversaw the kitchens at Catch, Abe & Arthur's, and Lexington Brass,
