The New Yorker files a lukewarm review of the two fanciest new coffee places in town. Matt Buchanan writes that Intelligentsia "felt more like a steakhouse than a coffee shop" and served a "papery" tasting espresso, while Stumptown's West Eighth Street brew bar had nowhere to sit, and an iced americano that "did not exactly sparkle."
