Alex Guarnaschelli Opening Another Butter in Midtown

TV personality and chef Alex Guarnaschelli and partners Richie Akiva and Scott Sartiano are opening a second location of their hit Noho restaurant Butter. Flo Fab reports that the new location will be at 70 West 45th St.?that's the Cassa NY Hotel?in July. It sounds like it will be later in the month.

This one will also be called Butter, so presumably the menu and concept will generally be the same. The space has an outdoor garden that will open a little earlier, in just a couple weeks, with cocktails and light food service.

Butter was, of course, the it restaurant several years ago, with legendary Monday night parties at the height of its hotness. Of course since then so much has changed, not least of all with Guarnaschelli's newfound status as an Iron Chef.
