Greenpoint favorite Five Leaves is celebrating the recent legalization of Sunday morning outdoor brunching with free drinks. The restaurant was fined last year for putting tables out on Sundays before noon, and was a big part of the fight to end the war on brunch. And now, owner Kathy Mecham sends word that starting at 10 a.m. tomorrow morning, diners in the first round of sidewalk seatings will get a celebratory mimosa coffee, orange juice, and other brunch beverages on the house.
