1) Midtown East/FiDi: A Melbourne, Australia-inspired coffee shop (owned by Melbourne native Nicholas Stone) called Bluestone Lane is prepping to open two locations in Manhattan. The first one will be at Third Avenue and East 50th in Midtown East, opening some time shortly after Independence Day. The other will be at 30 Broad in the FiDi, opening in August or September. 2) East Village: Temporary signage is up at Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken, the coming chicken-specific restaurant from the brothers behind the hugely popular Blue Ribbon Restaurants, EV Grieve reports. Work has been ongoing in that space for at least a month now, and it's due to open this summer. [PLYWOOD]
3) Park Slope: Here's Park Slope checks in with Duke of Montrose, a Scotch Whisky bar coming to Fifth and Bergen in Park Slope. Construction has reportedly picked up, though the bar was supposed to up this winter. [PLYWOOD]
4) Hudson River Park: Pier 26 in Hudson River Park is getting itself a new restaurant, with the Parks Department recently releasing an RFP for it. Tribeca Citizen checks in with its construction, and it looks like things are coming along. [PLYWOOD]
5) East Village: EV Grieve takes a look at this month's CB3 SLA committee docket. Two coming restaurants of note: Barbara Sibley, owner of La Palapa on St. Marks Place, is opening a bar/restaurant in the former home of Holiday Cocktail Lounge, and there's finally some more movement on the coming Brick Lane Curry House location that's taking over the Sea Salt space on Second Avenue. 6) Prospect Heights: A Latin/Caribbean bistro called Ideya is opening on Flatbush Avenue at the corner of Park Place, reports Patch. Its awning just went up, and it should open next week. [POST-PLYWOOD]
