The Franks Open Up Res Garden for Summer Barbecues

New, 5 comments

Later this summer, Frank Falcinelli and Frank Catronovo will unveil their new Red Hook restaurant/culinary lab/chef hotel, Res. If you want a sneak peek at what the Franks are up to, they're hosting a barbecue in Res's garden this Saturday, with "house-made sausages, hamburgers and grilled veggies from Prime Meats all grilled to perfection." This will be the second "garden matinee," and The Franks are also planning more garden barbecues for the July 4th weekend.

This is how the Franks describe Res on their website:

All too often, chefs who travel for collaborative dinners and other events are rushed, short on money, or unable to fully showcase their talents. At Res, we hope to change that. Res is an artist residency for chefs, a non-commercial environment where chefs from around the world can present their work — their very best work — to the audience of New York without being stressed. RES is located on the historic Brooklyn waterfront.
Although Castronovo and Falcinelli have not announced the lineup yet, word on the street is that some big-deal international chefs will do residencies there later this year
