New, 3 comments

SOHO ? Carmellini & Co.'s masterful American restaurant The Dutch is rocking a Fourth of July Cookout next week, with Texas-style brisket, St. Louis-style ribs, corn on the cob, pies, and more. It's available for $40 to stay or as takeout, for lunch or for dinner. For people dining in there are also drink specials for juleps. [EaterWire]

WILLIAMSBURG ? Stylish South Williamsburg cocktail bar Donna is making its partnership with Brooklyn Taco a little more permanent. The taco brand is now serving its hyper-local Mexican fare at the bar seven days a week. [EaterWire]

WILLIAMSBURG/WEST VILLAGE ? Both locations of Fatty 'Cue are launching a five-course tasting menu, which will include a combination of new and old dishes. Available Sunday to Wednesdays, it's $39 in Williamsburg, $49 in the West Village. [EaterWire]

SCANDALS ? Paula Deen's not the only famous food person in hot water this week: Chick-fil-A President and COO Dan Cathy (no stranger to controversy) posted and then deleted a seemingly anti-homosexual statement on Twitter yesterday following the Supreme Court's landmark ruling supporting marriage equality. Eater National has more on the fallout from the tweet. [Eater National]
