Michael White's world domination plan enters a new phase today with the news that Chef Bianco is planning a new restaurant in Culver City, California. Eater LA reports that White's Altamarea group is working on a restaurant in the Platform shopping complex at Hayden Tract that will have indoor and outdoor seating, and a menu of small plates. The space will be "set within a glass-enclosed rooftop greenhouse," and it will be located 56 feet about street level. Sounds far out.
No word yet on the name of this new restaurant, or the style of food that it will serve. Presumably, White will open this after Chop Shop in London and the Nicoletta spinoff in D.C. Or maybe he'll open them all in the same week. The news comes just hours after White and the Alamarea group opened The Butterfly in Tribeca. More details on the LA project as they become available.
