Fourth of July With Momofuku; The Smith Expanding?

FOURTH OF JULY ? Momofuku is offering a couple of different packages for Independence Day, both of which feed eight to 10 people. Noodle Bar's got Korean-style wings, roasted rice cakes, and a couple of different types of noodles (plus sides) for $250, while Ssan Bar is doing bo ssam with pasta salad and broccoli salad for $350. MIDTOWN SOUTH ? Popular brunch destination The Smith may be opening a new location at 27th and Broadway. It would be the restaurant's fourth location, with its third having opened on the Upper West Side late last year. [Experience NoMad]

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN ? This Friday, Grove Alley between Fulton and Livingston is getting turned into a night marker, complete with crafts, music, and food trucks. The Morris Truck (serving grilled cheese), Hibachi Heaven, Rickshaw Dumplings, Coolhaus, and a whole lot more will be there starting at 5 p.m. It's free, but anyone who's going should still RSVP. HIGH LINE ? Brooklyn Soda Works is opening a brand-spankin'-new soda bar on the High Line at West 15th Street. It opens at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 1, with all sodas a dollar off on opening day. Flavors include hibiscus-mint, apple-ginger, and a special (just for the High Line) cherry. [EaterWire]
