Battersby's Court Street Expansion Plans Confirmed

Those rumors have been confirmed: The Battersby guys are indeed expanding to the Carroll Gardens space that used to house the burger joint Vinzee's Magic Fountain. DNAinfo reports that Joseph Ogrodnek and Walker Stern?who opened their tiny critical darling on Smith Street in 2011?got initial approval for a liquor license from Brooklyn's Community Board 6 on Monday. The space has pretty much everything their current location doesn't: 2,800-square-feet, a 600-square-foot patio, a full kitchen, and more.

DNAinfo's report comes from Stern, who doesn't confirm when the build-out will begin on the new space. The new restaurant doesn't have a name or a menu yet.
