A group of street vendors tried and failed to get a CitiBike station in lower Manhattan relocated after it displaced a string of food carts that used to cater to the surrounding office buildings. They are particularly frustrated that the DOT has accommodated similar requests from the rich and powerful: "It seems like a lot of the fancy rich people in condos got them moved," says Sean Basinski, the director of the Street Vendor Project "but the immigrant street vendors had no luck."
