Over the last year, Má Pêche introduced large-format chick and lamb dinners, plus a chef's counter experience called Kapp? at Má Pêche. And now, David Chang's Midtown Momofuku will shake things up once again with a brand new large format meal focusing on beef. Last night, Kate Krader and other food world luminaries got a taste of this new "family meal," which included some Flintstone-style brined short ribs, smoky maitake mushrooms, and popovers. Word on the street is that wine will play a big part in this new Momo experience too. Will this be bigger and badder than Beef Seven Ways? Only time will tell.
A rep for the Momofuku Empire confirms that a new large format beef meal is in the works, but there's no word yet on the number of courses, the price, or when it will be available to the public. Stay tuned.
