The M. Wells Steakhouse, which has been in the works for over a year now, is set to open in July, not far from the original diner, which closed back in 2011. The new place, located in what used to be an auto body repair shop in Long Island City, will seat about 80, and Chef Hugue Dufour tells the LIC Post that it will not only house a catamaran-building operation, but also a 24 square foot concrete trough full of live trout. Those very same trout will actually be on the menu, but the focus of the self-proclaimed "meat temple" will still be on steaks, poultry, and "European-style" cuts of meat.
