BOOK CLUB — Take a look at this super sexy, super limited edition book called 00:58xy, which features Eric Ripert along with 16 other chefs. The author, Mary Laetitia Gerval, asked the chefs to "help underwrite" the book, which centers on the theme of love. The book includes "romantic" recipes from each, as well as beautiful photos of both food and chef, like this one of a shirtless, glimmering Ripert. Each of the 200 copies also comes with a handwritten message from the chef, and will cost you $500, with all proceeds going to benefit City Harvest. [~EN~]
CHELSEA — Cull & Pistol Oyster Bar is selling foot-long lobster rolls this weekend, in honor of National Lobster Day. Today through Sunday, for both lunch and dinner, you can get a sub-sized roll filled with about half a pound of lobster meat. The sandwiches come either warm with butter or cold with mayo and scallions, and will set you back $34 each. [EaterWire]
HUDSON RIVER PARK — Takumi Taco opened today at Pier 57, in one of those new shipping container pop-ups. It will serve a selection of tacos there at least through the summer, alongside vendors like Fletcher's BBQ and The Butcher's Daughter, which opened for business earlier this month. [EaterWire]
WILLIAMSBURG — This Saturday, as part of Williamsburg Walks, during which Bedford Avenue becomes car-free, Allswell will be selling $6 Negronis from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. It will have the same special next Saturday too, for the last installment of the annual Williamsburg Walks events. [EaterWire]
