Shameless Entrepreneur Sets Up Cronut Delivery Service

New, 19 comments

Buying Cronuts from scalpers on Craigslist is so last week. All the real Cronut fanatics are now using Croissantdoughnut.com, a new Cronut delivery service. From the official site:

Our white glove service enables you to enjoy New York's hottest confection without waiting in line at 5am in front of the Dominique Ansel bakery. We'll wait in line, get your order (1, 2 or 3 cronuts at this time), and deliver it to you -- same day, with a smile.
The site only accepts 20 orders a week, by email. As Kathryn Yu point out, the domain is owned by someone named Deborah Umunnabuike, who, according to CrunchBase, is "co-founder of EatHarlem.com" and "formerly co-founder and CEO of AvantGaudy.com."

This person better watch out — Dominique Ansel talks to all the people in the Cronut line to weed out the scalpers. There is no fooling the Cronut King. When you meet him, Dominique Ansel looks straight into your soul and he does not blink.
