Mayor Michael Bloomberg has put his support behind a bill that would ban the use of polystrene foam food service products because they are difficult to recycle. But some restaurateurs and captains of industry claim that the ban would cost the city upwards of $150 million and eradicate 1500 jobs. "The reason people attack foam is because it's so popular," said one man protesting the legislation. [The Awl]
