LES Standby Alias to Close at the End of the Week

Last month, the owners of Lower East Side American restaurant Alias announced plans to close the restaurant this summer. Yesterday, a tipster sent in this photo with the note: "I live around the corner from Alias and wanted to let you know that they've set a closing date for this Saturday. They're doing countdowns in the window about how many days they have left." The restaurant opened 11 years ago.

The team from Wild Edibles has applied for a liquor license in this space for a proposed seafood and tapas restaurant called Black Crescent.
