Francis Mallmann, the renowned Argentine chef known for cooking mostly with wood fire, has been staying at the Wythe Hotel all weekend and asked Andrew Tarlow if he could spend a little time cooking at Reynard while he's at it. He was in the kitchen with Sean Rembold just this morning, working on some dishes made over the restaurant's open fire, and will serve some of them tonight as specials. This one-off dinner is a kind of impromptu version of the Wythe Hotel's Dinner With Friends series, but while those prix fixe meals will cost you upwards of $125, Mallmann's specials will be offered a la carte, and priced like the regular specials.
