Philadelphia-based Sichuan master Han Chiang is bringing his hit restaurant Han Dynasty to New York City. According to Eater Philly, the new location is going to be in the East Village?at 90 Third Ave., the former location of Montien Thai, to be exact. Construction's begun on the space, and he tells Eater Philly that it should be ready for a July opening.
Chiang has earned a whole lot of praise for his fiery Sichuan cooking in Philadelphia, where he's also in the process of moving his original location to a new space across the street. His mini-empire has grown rather rapidly in the last few years, so there's a good chance even more locations could come up here? At any rate, this one's coming soon so it's definitely one to watch.
