New Yorkers took home many of the top honors at last night's 2013 James Beard Foundation Restaurant and Chef Awards. Here's the list of hometown chefs, restaurateurs and establishments that brought home the gold:
Outstanding Chef: [TIE] David Chang, Momofuku Noodle Bar, NYC and Paul Kahan, Blackbird, ChicagoThe Best New Restaurant award went to San Francisco's State Bird Provisions, and Chicago's Aviary won for Outstanding Bar Program. A big congrats to all the winners, and especially Mr. Wylie Dufresne who finally received a Beard Award after 10 nominations.
