Williamsburg Bistro Le Comptoir to Shutter Next Month

After three years in business, small Grand Street French restaurant/wine bar Le Comptoir is calling it quits. Yesterday, the owners sent an email to guests explaining the shutter:

After a long and painful battle with our landlord, Adrien and Sébastien have decided to close Le Comptoir. We will be serving the last meal on Sunday June 23rd. We want to thank all of you who have supported us for the last three years. We hope you will find some time to come and enjoy Le Comptoir in the next few weeks.

The French fare here was always good and affordably priced, but the restaurant never got much review attention. The owners have not announced any plans after closing the restaurant.
